Al Johnson is a lifelong resident of Monticello, Minnesota, and he has been running Al‘s Bait Shop since 1994. Johnson has been fishing since he was a young boy and has developed a vast knowledge of the local lakes and rivers. He is an expert at helping anglers select the right bait, tackle, and equipment for their needs. Al‘s Bait Shop also offers boat rentals, so visitors to the area can explore the local waterways. Johnson is an active member of the Monticello community, helping to maintain the local parks and participating in local events. He loves to share his passion and knowledge of fishing with others and loves to see customers of all ages come in to enjoy a day on the water.

We are open Tuesday – Sundays from 6am-7pm CST. We are closed on all major holidays.
