Fishing Charter Website Design Project Overview
Fire Digital was hired to create a new website design for On A Mission Fishin’ Guiding Services. The goal was to create an easy-to-navigate website that would be visually appealing and highly functional. Fire Digital worked closely with the client to create a modern website that showcased their services and allowed visitors to find the information they needed quickly. The website had a streamlined design and was compatible with all modern browsers and devices. Fire Digital also optimized the website for search engines to help boost visibility and drive more traffic. On A Mission Fishin’ Guiding Services was delighted with the results, and the website succeeded.
The Problem
The previous website was created with Squarespace, a DIY website builder, by Mike, the owner of On A Mission Fishin’. Overall, the last website needed several critical components of a successful website, including a clear call to action, a company logo, customer testimonials, and much more. Besides the fundamentals of basic website design the current website was simply not visible on Google.

The Website Design Solution
We wanted to create a new website that was easy to use across all devices (mobile, tablet, and desktops). Right off the bat, we redesigned the entire website using our favorite website design tools, WordPress and Elementor. We also created several calls to action throughout the website so users can easily book a charter. We also focused on search engine optimization to help the new website to rank higher on terms like “Best Lake Mille Lacs Fishing Chater”, “Lake Mille Lacs Smallmouth Bass Charter” and “Smallmouth Bass Guide MN”. Lastly, we focused on the brand. We used the logo’s colors and focused on the owner to build customer trust.

Website Design Process
Step 1: Strategy Call
We began the project with a strategy call. This was important because we wanted to take the time to meet Mike the owner of On A Mission Fishn’ Guide Services. We wanted to understand where his company was at with digital marketing and some of the pros and cons of his current website.
Step 2. Website Design Draft
We took all of the information that was gathered and created the first draft of the website. We then set another meeting with Mike and his team to go over the first initial content to gather feedback.
Step 3. Website Approval
After the revisions of the 1st draft. We took on another round of revisions and the new website was approved.
Step 4. Launch
We successfully launched the website on May 1st 2023.
Search Engine Optimization Process
Step 1: Install Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Before any keyword research or analysis. We needed to install the tools that will help us track the website. We installed both Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Step 2: Keyword Research
Using our Keyword Research Tool AREFs. We found a list of keywords and phrases that we wanted to go after to help rank the new website higher.
Step 3: Keyword Focused Blog Articles
We then created created 5 informative blog articles and maximizing the keywords based on our research.
Step 4: On Page Search Engine Optimization
We went through all of the pages that we have created and optimized them for search engines. Cleaning up headers, meta descriptions and adding ALT tags to images.
Final Thoughts:
We enjoyed learning about On A Mission Fishin’ Guide Services. We are happy that the owner trusted us and believed in the process of improving their website to build trust and gain more leads. We had a great time creating a new and better user experience for their current and future customers.
